Rebates
Do I need a referral from my GP?
A formal referral from your GP is not necessary, whilst many patients are referred to North Adelaide Podiatry Clinic by Doctors the majority of our patients self-refer and recommend each other.
Medicare Rebates
All Australian residents currently registered with Medicare, with a chronic illness are able to obtain a special referral from their local doctor under a specialised scheme. This will require the doctor to put in place a Care Plan and provide the patient with an EPC (Enhanced Primary Care) referral for Allied Health assessment/treatment. The scheme allows up to 5 consultations per calendar year for any allied health services in total (i.e. 3* Podiatry, 1* Physiotherapy, 1* Chiropractic; or 5 visits all to one health professional).
